The 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment held a reunion in Williamsburg, Virginia from 14 – 17 June 2007.  Hosted by the Border Legion of the Blackhorse Association, the reunion was open to all past and present TROOPERS who served with the Regiment, as well as the Regimental Community and all separate units who supported the Regiment.

 

The reunion was held at the Williamsburg Hospitality House, 415 Richmond Highway, Williamsburg, VA, 23185.  Registration and all major social activities except the golf tournament were held at this location.  .

Over 220 former members and friends of the Regiment attended, including a delegation of six from Fulda, led by the current and the past Lord Mayors.  A large delegation from the active regiment was there, including the RCO and the RCSM; along with the current Sergeant Major of the Army, eight former RCO’s, and the leaders of the ACVVC.

 

The business meeting included the election of a new Blackhorse Association President, BG John Sherman Crow, USA (Ret), and a new board of Governors.  Many thanks to Jeremy Dobos for making this meeting and the regeneration of the Blackhorse Association possible.

 

Plan now to attend the next Blackhorse Association/Border Legion Reunion in Fulda in 2009!
